From the Handi-Men.Com front page a visitor can click on the FREE quote button and by completing a short and very private form regarding the description of their required work, can have their requirements sent to ALL of the qualified firms and individuals in their community.
Service Providers who meet their requirements will be alerted by an email request has been made. Service Providers can ask questions and home owners can respond by access their personal quote account. Once a satisfactory quote is received, the home owner can either accept or reject one or all of the submitted quotes.
There are no obligations either on the part of the home owners or on the part of the service provides until a time as a contract is entered into between the two. |

The navigation on the Handi-Man.Com site is straight-forward. You navigate by clicking on the

links. Most have information popup windows assisting you in identifying what it does.
Finding Contrctors and Service Providers in your area is as simple as clicking on the list of service types on the front page -- or going to the 'Locator Map' and clicking your mouse on your state. Either way will allow you to browse ALL of the various services (and where they're located) in your state. Once you're through, please complete the survey that you'll when you initially access the Handi-Men.Com web site. On average, over two million people a year visit this site and we're anxious to know how we can improve it so it can do more for you!
Feature Listing If you are a featured listing, you can
have your 'logo', 'sig' or 'brand' included in your listing. Just enter the 'Full Page Address' where it can be currently found in the internet. If you don't currently have it available on the internet and wish to use Handi-Men's virtual web services, once you've submitted your application - send us an email (support@tightweb.net) providing your material as an attachment including both your company name and the order number which was provided.
Accessing Your Listing Information is as easy as clicking your mouse on the 'My Account' button at the top of this page. You must enter your assigned 'User ID' and 'Password'. If you've forgottin your password (or your User ID), click your mouse on the 'Forgot your password' link and an email will be sent to you with the necessary information.
Easy Site Use and Navigaion. User's will find the site
easy to use as well (you might want to bookmark it since home maintenance
and repair
is something
you'll
do
again and
again). First - select the service you require, next select the state
and then you select a city or town. That's it!
Feedback and how does it work? Actually
its also very simple. Anyone can enter feedback for a company or individual
listed in our many
Directories but the user (or home owner) must be able to show that they found the individual or company using Handi-Men.Com. There are
some rules to follow in providing feedback, both good and bad. First - feedback must be submitted using the
feedback form. Once submited - Handi-Man.Com will ask for a verification
from the indicated sender (to verify the feedback). A user is limited
to one feedback per contractor per day.
And feedback must be in response to services received from the party getting
the feedback.
Negative Feedback is held for ten days to assess and review all
of the issues between the two parties and to determine if they can be
resolved. It is more important, in Handi-Men.Com's viewpoint, to correct an issue than to simply provide negative feedback (we're always concerned that negative feedback may be the result of bad communication rather than bad work)! Also,
the editorial
staff of
Handi-Men.Com will review the validity of the issues reported. If it
stands - or if the contractor fails to reply to the notice of negative feedback within the necessary time,
the feedback will be posted after twelve
days. Three valid negative feedbacks will result in a contractor
or service provider being suspended from Handi-Men.Com.
Limited Negative Feedback - Only
one negative feedback per user is permitted for each contractor.
If a user continues to do business with someone they gave negative feedback and the feedback was published (either because neither party of was able to work through the issue),
then there remains a question as to how valid the feedback was in the first
place.
Handi-Men.Com's 'First-Come, First-Serve' Listing Policy assures everyone of equal and fair treatment when listing their services on Handi-Men.Com! Free listings with a link committement will be relisted as a 'regular' FREE listing if a link is not found to be established within 30 days of the provider's initial listings. This could result in the company or individual being moved from the first or second page to further back in the listing order!
All actions by Handi-Men.Com are open to review and arbitration (see
our policies and procedures). Feedback, however, may only be overturned
with the consent of both parties.
